Card scanner questions
How does the Vaulted Cards UK card scanner work?
You upload or photograph the front of your card (and the back if you have it). Our AI identifies the player, set, year, card number, parallel and serial numbering, works out how rare that version is, recalls how comparable cards have actually sold recently, then adjusts for the condition it can see and gives you a value range in pounds with the reasoning written out.
Does the valuation use real sold prices?
Yes — the model values against historical sold data rather than optimistic asking prices, and shows you the comparable sales it reasoned from plus a one-click eBay sold-listings search so you can check it yourself.
Why do I have to give an email or phone number?
So we can send your report and answer questions about it. We only ring or text you if you tick the box asking us to. We never sell your details, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Am I committing to anything by scanning?
No. The scan is free, informational and completely non-committal. There is no obligation to sell, no account to create and no auto-listing. Selling to us is a separate step you choose after you have seen the number.
What does it cost to sell through Vaulted Cards UK?
We charge a flat 15% commission on the final sold price when we sell your card on consignment through our eBay store. There are no listing fees, no photography fees and no monthly charges — if it does not sell, you pay nothing and we return the card.
How accurate is an AI card valuation?
It is an informed estimate, not a formal appraisal or a guaranteed offer. Photo quality, unusual parallels and fast-moving markets all affect accuracy. Anything valuable should get a human second opinion — which we give free.
Can it grade my card like PSA?
It estimates the grade a card in that visible condition would likely receive and tells you whether grading is financially worth it once fees and postage are counted. Only PSA, BGS or SGC can issue an actual grade.
What cards can I scan?
Football, basketball, baseball, F1, wrestling, Pokémon and other TCGs, raw or already slabbed. Modern and vintage both work.
